In 2004 he and his colleague Wen Zhou started their own venture and both were 31 years old, therefore the brand is named 3.1 Phillip Lim. In three years the label was available in more than 250 stores nationwide and in 26 countries, including New York, Los Angeles, Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong. That was the success brought by cool, easy, chic and avant-garde look for men and women. In his newest collection, as well as in previous ones, much attention was paid to the footwear.
