During the Riga Fashion Week, which will take place from 24-28 October, a number of creative and also educational events in the field of fashion and art are planned. One of them is on 26 October – the guest lecture by professor Davide Petraroli, from the world-famous Italian fashion school Istituto Marangoni, everyone interested is welcome to attend.
Baltic Fashion Federation, the organizer of Riga Fashion Week, in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Latvia and the Latvian Academy of Arts on 26 October from 16:00-17:30 at the Latvian Academy of Arts (13 Kalpaka blvd, room 19) is organising an open lecture by professor Davide Petraroli, from the world-famous Italian fashion college Istituto Marangoni on topic “ACTION BRANDS (critical approach)”. Istituto Marangoni is one of the most recognized universities in the world to get an education in the fashion business. Professor Davide Petraroli of the Istituto Marangoni in his lecture in Riga will talk about issues like, the new fashion phenomena raising from several fashion designers’ approach to creativity, “Gucci fights against fashion”: how a historical brand overwhelms everybody dragging them towards a vintage future, as well as deconstruction and reuse phenomena, highlighting how Millennials survive in this new era.
During his visit to Riga Fashion Week, professor Petraroli will present a valuable scholarship of the Istituto Marangoni to one of the Latvian designers, who is participating at this season’s RFW, to attend a 3-week course in Milan. The Istituto Marangoni lecture in Riga and the scholarship for a Latvian designer, whose name will be announced at RFW, has been fulfilled because of the support of the Italian Embassy in Latvia.
