The 29th Riga Fashion Week this autumn will take place in Riga from 23-27 October. At the upcoming Riga Fashion Week, the best Latvian and foreign designers will showcase their spring-summer 2019 pret-a-porter collections. In addition, this season, Riga Fashion Week program will be enriched with several events within the framework of the international project “United Fashion”.
The advertising campaign image of the forthcoming RIGA FASHION WEEK session was created with an input of Liene Grinberga, the founder of the brand PUBLIC MAKE IMAGE, with the garments and accessories from her own new collection. The popular model from Rezekne – Sintija Selicka is the face of this seasons’ RFW advertising campaign, whose modelling career has begun relatively recently, but with tremendous success. This image was created by a team of professionals: a photographer – Miks Uzans, a stylist Elga Homitska, hair arrangement by Svetlana Dubatova, make-up by Lara Pudovska.
“This photo of the RFW ad campaign shows the mood of our new collection – “Street Motion”. In 2019, the spring-summer trends will feature an interplay between grandee style, sport and graphics, various slogans and ascetic direction in the deconstructed classics. Consequently, our image is shaped by the influence of the 90’s youth, while looking through the modern prism. The main source of inspiration for this collection is recent events in sports both in Latvia and worldwide, thus we created a collection that is a modern combination of sporty style and design trends of the 90’s,” says Liene Grinberga.
Riga Fashion Week has become one of the most creative and innovative fashion and cultural events in the Baltics by creating a celebratory feeling throughout the city for a whole week, twice a year. Each session Riga Fashion Week brings together different professionals of the creative industry and their collaboration results in a wide and always unique fashion week program.
