Next week, from October 28 to 31, Riga will become the fashion capital as Riga Fashion Week takes place in the city. The program will feature not only long-time local favourites but also international designers. In total, brands from six countries will present their collections, with 15 of them showcasing on the main runway. The series of fashion events will kick off with the opening of the Henna brand section in the Baltā Kūmode boutique. Last season, the brand made its debut with a collection merging Eastern and Western fashion, and this season, the pieces reflect different states of nature: satin fabrics symbolize a sunny morning, and the shades of a fading rose embody a stormy evening. Immediately following this, there will be a presentation of the collaborative collection ArtisainT by Lena Lumelsky. “ArtisainT is a collaboration of like-minded creators celebrating the special human gift of craftsmanship, allowing for the creation of complex and flawless looks,” shares the designer.

The Latvian brand One Day will present its debut collection at the Binyamin House, an architectural monument from the Latvian bourgeois era. The collection is based on a relaxed style, harmoniously combining natural beauty with timeless design. Each element is thoughtfully crafted with classic female silhouettes in mind, and the soft fabrics and bright colours easily mix and match regardless of the season.
On the opening day, a pop-up showroom for Baltic designers will launch at the Zunda Towers skyscrapers, followed by fashion shows from Verens (Latvia), Laura Daili (Lithuania), and Carolxott (Estonia). The day will conclude at the Amoralle boutique, where guests will have the chance to experience the results of a collaboration between one of Latvia’s most feminine brands and designer Fyodor Podgorny (former creative director of FYODOR GOLAN) through a presentation of the new collection in the form of live installations displayed across three floors of the building.

“I have always been fascinated by the beauty and rich heritage of the Baltic region, and that has become the primary source of inspiration for my new collection. I aimed to create timeless pieces—not only through the high quality of materials but also with a design that transcends time. With a background of participating in international projects from New York to Tokyo, this will be my first time presenting at Riga Fashion Week, which makes it especially meaningful and exciting for me,” comments the designer of the Laura Daili brand.
“My goal has always been to spread the wings out of my homeland and I am happy to do it for the first time in Riga. The new collection reflects the spirit of the fishing industry of Northern Estonia. This time I am bringing on stage a colourful take on last century’s fish industry combined with a modern take from today’s world. A special touch is added with 3D printed glasses from Tijn Nelemans,” comments Carol Ott, the designer of the brand Carolxott.

On the main runway of the capital, collections will be presented by Latvian brands Natalija Jansone, Iveta Vecmane, Selina Keer, BAE by Katya Shehurina in collaboration with the world-renowned Huawei brand, as well as international brands such as Pohjanheimo (Estonia), Novaliss (Spain/Latvia), Szczygiel (Poland), and Lili Marleena (Finland) in partnership with Stockmann department store.
“Eight years ago, I participated in Riga Fashion Week as a costume assistant—that’s how my professional journey in the fashion industry began. Now living in Spain, I’ve successfully showcased my collections in London, Milan, Paris, and Barcelona since founding my brand. Returning to Latvia, where it all started, holds symbolic value for me, and I’m excited to offer RFW guests a different perspective on fashion—fashion as a form of high art. Art that can be worn, transformed, altered, and adapted to one’s self,” says Laura Anspoka, designer of the Novaliss brand.

“I am thrilled to participate in Riga Fashion Week in collaboration with the Stockmann department store. For the first time, my brand Lili Marleena will be showcased outside of Finland, which presents a unique opportunity to see how the brand resonates with an international audience. I focus on creating long-lasting garments that suit women of all sizes, striving to design beautiful and unique pieces with a timeless aesthetic,” adds the founder of the Lili Marleena brand.
This season, with the close cooperation and support of the Italian Embassy in Latvia and the Italian Trade Agency in Stockholm, the Riga Fashion Week program will feature events dedicated to Italian fashion. On October 30, there will be a public discussion titled “Fashion as Heritage” with renowned fashion historian Matteo Augello (Italy) and designer Laima Jurča (Latvia). The event will be hosted by well-known Latvian artist Markus Riva, and entry will be available by prior registration.
The following day, October 31, Forum Cinemas will host a screening of the film about the life of legendary Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo, creator of shoes for Hollywood stars and iconic silent films, titled Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams. The screening is open to anyone who registers in advance.

Another event open to the public is an exhibition of Vivienne Westwood’s personal collection of clothing and accessories at the Fashion Museum. On October 31, the final day of the exhibition, guided tours will be available (prior registration and more details are available on the museum’s website: www.modesmuzejs.lv). On the final day of Riga Fashion Week, to mark the 20th anniversary of the event, a gala dinner will be held with Latvian designers, and long-time participants of RFW, and an awards ceremony will take place.
Another integral part of the Fashion Week is the stylish parties charged with fashion vibes, with several planned for this season: at “Tribe Riga City Centre,” “Space Falafel,” “Vīna Studija Splendid,” and in the “ATPUTA” complex (Benyamin House).
Riga Fashion Week will take place from October 28 to 31, bringing together talented newcomers and established fashion masters on the same runway.
