If I had to describe Julian Zigerli’s last menswear collection called “At the end of the World to the left” in three words, it would definitely be future, rave and Salvador Dalí. Working together with Katharina Grosse, who created prints, the designer experimented with new ways of crushing boundaries between fashion, art and design. The outcome of their collaboration seems to depict what is happening in young generation mind; we feel chaotic, limitless and ready for a big-time adventure. The work might look quite feminine or at least unisex but why not to go crazy next season? Bright and mesmerizing colors meet simple shapes and united they give us surrealistic impression mixed with rave culture’s funk.
Julian also collaborated with visual artist Michael Patrick Perez, who produced an abstract video that depicts movements blending with pixels and colors. In general, all three of them created a wonderful piece of art, which translates to free-spirited mind and reaches new heights of artistic expression. Well done!
