Sometimes you feel so sad and lonely that no one could help you even with the softest words and greatest attention. Then there is one thing which might make the difference. It‘s called CHOCOLATE. But in order to avoid eating the huge bar of that sweet sin, use it for a brilliant cake which also has black beans in it. Sounds strange, but believe me, various pastries with vegetables or beans in them are really worth trying. So put on the apron and grab the following:
1 cup/240g cooked black beans
3 large eggs
½ cup/100g sugar
3 heaping table spoons of cocoa powder
½ cup/50g dark chocolate
1 tea spoon of instant coffee or 1 espresso shot
½ vanilla pod, scraped
1 tea spoon of baking powder
Juice and zest from ½ orange
A pinch of salt
Preheat the oven to 175 °C and start with mixing the ingredients. Combine all the ingredients except the dark chocolate and blend it until it’s smooth. The dough should be kind of liquid, so don‘t get too scary. Put it all into a loaf pan with baking paper. Chop the dark chocolate and spread it on the surface of the dough while putting some of the pieces inside the cake as well. Bake the cake for approximately 35 minutes and let it cool completely before taking it from the baking pan.
Et voilá !
Remember, chocolate doesn‘t ask stupid questions – chocolate understands! Have a sweet day.
