Calvin Klein Collection clients shopping the store through the holiday season will have the unique opportunity to purchase Lauren Messelian exclusive arrangements, which are designed as perfect accents for the home or holiday hostess gifts.
Ms. Messelian has designed many of the store’s most iconic floral installations as well as those for the Calvin Klein, Inc. corporate offices and events, which have established the brand’s respect for and association with visual displays that utilize natural elements. Ms. Messelian specializes in visual and floral instillations for fashion, fine art, fragrance, and home.
For the first time, her expertise and artistic creations will be available to the public exclusively at the Calvin Klein Collection flagship store. The limited edition shop features florals and greenery as portable living sculptures, uniting art and design. The edited offering includes a small, elegant succulent with stones boxed perfectly in an acrylic cube, a dramatic square glass vase with swirled tulips, and a selection of topiaries and wreaths. Now through December 24th, the curated assortment will be available on the main floor of the store from 2:00 – 7:00pm,Tuesday through Sunday. Delivery is available in New York City for an additional charge.
Artist Lauren Messelian received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan with a focus in photography and printmaking. She continued her studies in etching at Atelier 63 in Paris. Upon graduating, she returned to the Detroit area, working for Michelle Andonian Photography and later Lee’s Specialty, running operations. In 1998, Messelian moved to New York City and began her relationship with Calvin Klein Inc.’s visual department and Robert Isabell, where she was introduced to the world of flowers. In 2001, she started Florishop LLC with Calvin Klein, Inc. as her first client. Messelian continues to collaborate with Calvin Klein, Inc. today providing floral and visual installations. Additional high profile clients and collaborators in the fashion industry include, Roger Vivier, Tods, Stella McCartney, Rachel Zoe, Michael Kors, Frye, Tory Burch, and the Guggenheim Museum, among others.
