This season Paul Smith is all about simple forms. Designer created a wardrobe for a relaxed and reckless woman with a bunch of vivid colors.
Paul Smith SS13 collection is full of light fabrics: long silk pants, manly shirts and fluttering colorful dresses which give laid-back classic style. Models walking the runway wearing designer‘s clothing with bright red lips become strong and confident women.
While watching the show you keep asking yourself how it‘s possible to create such an amazingly strong collection using simple forms and silluets? Designer used color blocking for his collection. He mixed and matched classic colors like burgundy with dark blue and yellow with emerald green, white, grey and red.
In the final of the show designer surprised the audience with leggings which he apparently revived for a new modern classic life and left everyone thinking about beautiful color blocking.
