NaughtOne, a global furniture brand, introduces Percy, a lounge chair that seamlessly blends striking design with simplicity. Ideal for diverse modern spaces, from offices to universities to hospitality environments, Percy showcases adaptable design principles.
Inspired by mid-century waiting room chairs, Percy embodies a utilitarian yet timeless aesthetic with its uninterrupted flowing lines. The chair’s design hinges on the synergy between the bold graphic frame and the plush, cushioned upholstery, creating a cohesive and curvaceous look.
Designer Nicole Marion shared her inspiration: “I wanted to play with visually softening the metal to create a cohesive, curvaceous look. The design has a timeless quality, adaptable to various environments and personal styles.”
Despite its utilitarian roots, Percy provides a versatile canvas for customization. NaughtOne’s commitment to offering diverse possibilities is evident as Percy allows clients to choose from 16 frame colours and over 100 upholstery options, enabling a wide array of combinations.
Stephen Floyd, Creative Director at NaughtOne, highlighted Percy’s uniqueness, noting its charming unconventional design and the innovative use of a chunky tubular frame, taking full advantage of their RAL palette.
Percy made its debut at the 2020 Interior Design Show in Toronto, where it received the Best Prototype award. This launch marks NaughtOne’s third new product of 2023, following the successful introduction of the Pippin Chair and the Morse Table System earlier this year.
