AltaRoma AltaModa attracts a lot of journalists, photographers, bloggers and other fashion lovers every year. This year I was somewhere in the middle of this chaos too.
It was my first fashion week ever, so I was very excited when I got the invitation! Now I know that hurting feet, stress and rush are inevitable things in fashion weeks…I‘m not complaining, because now I know how everything works.
I saw 10 fashion shows in 3 days. I‘ve got to tell that although I‘m new in this “fashion week” thing, I may say that not all the fashion shows were worth watching. Of course, some of them were spectacular and took my breath away. Tony Ward SS 2013 fashion show really touched my heart, because every piece of art (I wouldn’t call them dresses) was incredible. San Andres Milano FW 2013/2014 became absolute favorite in every woman’s daily life. Don’t even get me started talking about luxurious renaissance of Giada Curti SS 2013…
During these three days I got to know not only a lot of amazing fashion houses like Curiel Couture, Abhed Mahfouz, Renato Balestra, Giada Curti, Stella Jean, Atelier Persechino, Gianni Molaro, Gatinnoni, but also Rome fashion elite. Once AltaRoma ended I started dreaming about other fashion weeks. SwO editor Akvile says: “You can’t stop when you try it once”.
P.S. January 25-29 in Rome you could see not only fashion shows, but also exhibitions, attend conferences, book presentations and of course, afterparties. Unfortunately, a day has only 24 hours…
