Not sure how to start your day in a healthy way? Craving for something sweet and refreshing? Start making smoothies!
This idea came to us as soon as we realized that a tone of ice- cream, which had been eaten during uncountable summer days is not making a good impact on our beach bodies. We know that when it comes to wearing your bikini in order to feel great, you need to look your best. And that’s why we decided to replace our gelato with a delicious, fruity and full of vitamins smoothie. What’s so great about them? You can make your smoothies from whatever veggies and fruits you find in the fridge and it takes you no more than 10 minutes to prepare them! Here’s our smoothie top 5:
1. Peach Refresher
– Serves 2 –
-2 peaches
-1 banana
-1 cup of spinach
-1 cup of rockets
-1 cup of natural yogurt
-2 small cucumbers
-½ large avocado
-Fresh basil leaves
-Teaspoon of ginger
2. Strawberry, mint and cucumber smoothie
– Serves 2 –
-400g ripe strawberries
-½ large avocado
-1 cucumber
-1/3- ½ can of full fat coconut milk
-12 whole almonds (soaked overnight in filtered water, rinsed and drained) -or 1 tablespoon of almond butter
-1 tablespoon of fresh mint leaves
-2 whole dates or a dash of raw honey to sweeten
-You can also add filtered water for desired consistency.
3. Strawberry banana smoothie
-1 cup of strawberries
-1 banana
-1/2 cup of low-fat yogurt or milk
-5 ice cubes
-1/2 of a sliced orange
4. Cilantro – Mango Detox
– Serves 2 –
-1 ½ cups spinach, fresh
-½ cup cilantro, fresh
-2 cups water
-1 ½ cup mango
-1 cup pineapple
-½ avocado
5. Beginner’s luck
– Serves 2 –
-2 cups spinach, fresh
-2 cups water
-1 cup pineapple
-1 cup mango
-2 bananas
Don’t forget to make your ordinary smoothie into a supersmoothie by adding superfoods such as: Chia Seeds, Coconut Oil, Flax Seeds, Goji Berries, Spirulina, Cacao Powder, Maca Powder, Hemp Protein, Camu Powder, Acai… They will fill your body with a whole bunch of vitamins and fiber. And, most importantly, don’t be afraid to experiment!
