Yesterday we went with Maria to Vogue L’uomo party at my favorite little gallery in Milan, Corso Como 10. It was organized by Vogue L’uomo, Vogue Italia and Woolmark Company, titled “When wool is in fashion”.
Franca Sozzani was the curator and showed some greatest fashion photography works from Vogue Italia & Vogue L’uomo archives. Meisel, Naomi and fashion houses in editorials that already have their huge mark in fashion history. This was classics, cozy fashion, and I just loved it.
Oh, and I found one article of fibre2fashion today which made me laugh as it is so cheesy but pretty fun marketing strategy. I’ll put here one blunt sentence, the whole report is here. But it’s informative, so that’s a big plus!
“Among the guests were Donatella Versace, Franca Sozzani, Paolo Zegna, Pier Luigi Loro Piana, Carla Sozzani, Teresa Missoni, Micheal Roberts, Raffaello Napoleone and some of the most important names of the International fashion industry.”
This is kind of a thing you say when you don’t know what to say, right?
I usually almost don’t wear designer clothing – actually I love them but currently I prefer to throw money into travel & studying instead of wearing labels. And I support them by putting into editorials already. But I’ve talked with my magazine’s creative director and thought that taking some Lithuanian designer’s dress would be great. So Lithuanian it is: young and very talented Robert Kalinkin, who is soon presenting his SS13 collection with a two-hour concert.
And… the last Vogue L’uomo cover on my floor this morning:
