Slightly more than a month before the start of the event, Poland’s Audioriver Festival presents the last item on the agenda, that is the line-up of the third day of the event. On the 30th of July, a beautiful park in the city of Płock will host the performances of Damian Lazarus, Danny Byrd, &ME, John B, Rampue, Bryan Gee ft. MC Felon, Nico Stojan, Leon & Glasse, MacBeat, Meg & Discox, Emoczo and MC LowQui.
Audioriver Sun/Day will be held for the fourth time and for the third time at the same location, that is in the park between Mostowa and Rybaki Streets. “This is a magical place and a magical event – it’s the most important point of the whole festival for many of our fans” – says the press spokesman of Audioriver, Łukasz Napora. “In Poland there aren’t many big events with electronic music held in bright sunlight and dancing during the day has its own unique feeling. We hope that we have been able to slightly convey the mood in the aftermovie from the last edition.”
Because Damian Lazarus performed at all three previous editions to date and he played unseemly well every time, he had to be booked also this year and it is he who opens the program of Stage One. He is the unofficial resident of Sun/Day and the guarantee that it will be hard to leave Płock once again. However, the remaining foreign artists performing on this stage will play at Audioriver for the first time. For example &ME, the artist associated with Berlin label Keinenmusik, on which he released such well-received tracks as “After Dark” or “Woods”.
Just like &ME, from the capital of Germany to Płock will come Rampue, the artist famous for rousing and hypnotic live acts filled with brilliant melodies and ethnic influences. The house music artist who also fits perfectly to events taking place during the day, is Nico Stojan – a talented DJ and a producer, who already has releases, among others, in a recognized record label – Katermukke.
The line-up of Stage One is closed by Polish performers, two duos that complement each other in a great way. The representatives of Cracow’s club Prozak 2.0, Meg and Discox, are the artists with long experience in music industry. Together they have played as a support to many international headliners. The other veterans of homebred scene, Leon and Glasse, after the last, very-well received set before Damian Lazarus in Warsaw, have decided that they must repeat it precisely during Audioriver Sunday.
Very experienced artists will also perform on Stage Two, the area devoted to broken beats. Danny Byrd is a figure who as one of first artists joined a very prized today, but a beginner nearly two decades ago – Hospital Records. John B operates on the scene even longer and he is famous for combining drum & bass with other genres, such as trance or electro. Additionally, apart from active releasing and performing, he focuses also on running his own record label, Beta Records.
The head of other label and a very deserving figure for drum & bass is also Bryan Gee, who will be accompanied by MC Felon on the stage in Płock. Bryan’s label – V records started a good 25 years ago and in its catalogue has releases of such well-known artists as Roni Size, Adam F, DJ Fresh, Dilinja or Calibre.
The program of Stage Two will also feature MacBeat – an activist of drum & bass scene and the member of Subwena collective from the Lower Silesia, but also Emoczo, an experienced DJ who shared the stage with many international headliners in various Polish cities. Moreover, all gigs on Stage Two will be supported vocally by MC LowQui, the longtime friend of the festival.
